Masking and protection
1: When a building is undergoing exterior wall stucco work, workers will use Stucco Tape to carefully cover the window frames and glass. This ensures that no stucco splatters onto them, which could be difficult to clean off and might damage the appearance. After the stucco work is completed, the tape can be easily removed, leaving the windows and frames clean and undamaged.
2: In the process of painting the exterior walls of a house, Stucco Tape is applied to the edges of doors, window sills, and any decorative moldings. This creates a clean, straight edge and prevents the paint from bleeding onto these areas, maintaining their original color and finish.
Waterproof sealing
1: In a building with exterior brick walls, there are small gaps between the bricks due to weathering. Stucco Tape is applied to these gaps to create a waterproof seal. It prevents rainwater from seeping into the wall, which could cause moisture damage to the interior of the building, such as mold growth or deterioration of the structural components.
2: Around the base of a chimney where it meets the roof, there is often a joint that is prone to water leakage. Stucco Tape is used to seal this joint, forming a barrier that stops water from entering the building through this vulnerable area. This helps to protect the interior of the building from water - related damage.
Temporary repair
1: If there is a small crack in the stucco exterior of a building, perhaps caused by settling or minor impacts, Stucco Tape can be applied over the crack. It holds the cracked area together temporarily, preventing the crack from widening and reducing the risk of further damage until a more permanent repair can be made.
2: A section of the exterior wall of a building has suffered some minor damage from a falling branch. There are small chips and a few shallow cracks. Stucco Tape is used to cover and hold the damaged area in place. This provides immediate protection against the elements, such as rain and wind, and keeps the area from deteriorating further before a proper repair can be carried out.
